Set Yourself Apart as an Eyelash Extension Technician
With so many eyelash technicians and salons it may seem hard work to set yourself apart from the rest. However, it can be the simple things that make the huge difference and leave a great impression! It is more than just a service, it all comes down to creating a great experience, using high quality products and ensuring you keep your client’s happy! Keep reading to find out how you can set yourself apart from the rest…
Ask Your Client Questions
Communication is key. When you have a new client, be sure to gain a full understanding of what they desire from their eyelash extensions. This will help you create the perfect set of eyelashes that they want and suit their eyes and face. When a client returns, check up on how they found their last service so you can find any ways of improving the service and experience. You should also check how they liked their extensions and if they want any changes. For example, your client may decide they prefer their lashes a little longer or will a little extra curl. Sometime clients can be a little shy or not really know what kind of look they want to achieve so asking your client questions may really help them. Your client will be very thankful for this as they will know you only want to create the most perfect extensions for them and a happy customer is what we all strive for.
Keep Learning and Educating Yourself
The beauty industry changes and new improved products and techniques come about and evolve so it is important to keep on top of the game. When a new product or technique comes about try it! The worse than can happen is you don’t like it and so what you can continue using your favourite product or technique, but you never know you may just love it. Practise makes perfect and educating yourself gives you a better understanding so you can up your lash game. Take new eyelash courses when you feel you want to improve or try new techniques.
Read Reviews, Ask for Feedback & Take Note
There is always room for improvement, so ask clients to leave you an honest review or some feedback as this will help you understand what you need to change or practise more. You should also keep notes on each and every client you have so you understand the type of extensions they love and what curls and lengths they like. This help you when they come to their appointment as you can get to lashing straight away and will guarantee a happy client!
Be Punctual
As a lash technician you will most likely understand how annoying it is when a client turns up late for their appointment or doesn’t show up. It puts you behind schedule and can affect how your day goes. Your client also may have plans made or a schedule to follow so you showing up later than arranged can be very inconvenient or irritating to your client. The may have booked a certain time slot for a reason as being late could affect what they have planned. Always aim to be at work a little earlier than the time you need to be there for to avoid anyone being disappointed!
