A monolid is an eyelid shape that doesn’t have a crease or an obvious crease. Eyes that have a visible crease are known as a double eyelid, almond or round eyes are an example.

What is the difference between Monolids and hooded eyes?

• Hooded eyes commonly have a sagging brow bone, which sits on top of the lid, creating a floppier crease in the eyelid.
• Both hooded eyes and monolid eyes have lids that are not easily visible while the eye is open. The difference is, monolid eyes tend to protrude with no crease whereas hooded eyes crease much more and don’t have much depth.
