Volume Eyelash Extensions: The Tweezer Pinch Method
The Tweezer Pinch Method
If you are into eyelash extensions, you will probably have heard of the ‘pinch’ method and thinking is this the same thing? It is a very similar method, the only actual difference is you use a pair of tweezers rather than your fingers to pinch the base of the fan. This makes things quicker and more precise and once you’ve had a go you will probably want to switch to this method. If you are new to eyelash extensions, don’t worry just keep reading our simple step by step guide and you will be a pro at this method in no time!
1. Remove the Eyelash Extensions of the Strip
First things first, select the extension you want to use to create a fan and remove them from the stip. The number of individual lashes you will be using is dependent on the look your client wants to achieve plus how strong and healthy their natural eyelashes are. The more healthy and strong their natural eyelashes are, the more individual lashes you can use to create the fan. We recommend you use less lashes and the lightest individual extensions you have if your client has damaged, thin or weak real eyelashes as you don’t want the fan to be heavy on their lashes.
2. Pinch the Base
Next, pinch the base of the extensions and keep pinching until you have created a good base. Remember to always ensure your base is thin, if it is not thin enough your client may find the extensions uncomfortable and may also get tangled with other lashes. Keeping your client happy and comfortable should be your number one priority!
3. Adhesive Time
Once you are happy with your base and made sure it is thin enough at the base, go ahead and dip your fan into the lash adhesive. Make sure your glue is shaken up regularly before using it and between clients. After shaking remove any built up air in it by giving it a little squeeze and you’ll achieve the perfect drop! Carefully apply the volume fan to the clients eyelash making sure you don’t get any glue in the clients eye or on their skin. The more precise you are the longer they will last and the better the outcome will be!
5. Repeat this Process
It is important to make sure you are always careful and precise, don’t rush as this is effect the end result.
